Miles is currently a Program Administrator in our Windham office, but when he’s not working behind the scenes ,you can find him out in the community exploring the unique offerings with participants, or strumming the guitar during music group!
When we asked about Miles his peers say: “Am glad Miles can reach things I cannot on the top shelf! I also enjoy his sense of humor. I respect his honest, genuine feedback when I ask for it. Dependable!!!! “
Another joked: “His handsome hair gets him free coffee every morning … ”
We asked Miles:
What motivates you the most?
I’m motivated by joy: helping people discover the things that make them happy, and pursuing those things together!
What’s your favorite past time?
When I’m not at Momentum, you can usually find me at the Bittersweet Ridge disc golf course, hanging out with Bob the cat and chasing the chains.
What would you like to be known for?
I’d like to be known for the same thing that motivates me- helping to bring people closer to the things they love.
Can you recall the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
Last summer, my brother and I were doing some “magnet fishing” and we pulled up a bicycle that must have been underwater for at least ten years. This was at popular waterfront tourist spot, so there were a lot of people eating pier fries and enjoying the sunshine, and they were all pretty curious about what we were doing. This bike was covered in barnacles, seaweed, and all kinds of ocean gunk, and there were crabs crawling out from the tires. Once our spectators noticed the smell, they lost their appetites and scattered. We were in stitches!
One thing you would tell your 13-year-old self.
Trust yourself, and never turn down an adventure. And, Blink-182 will get back together and go on tour in 17 years- start saving for tickets now!
What has been your favorite “Momentum Moment?
Oof! That’s a tough one- I hardly know where to begin! My favorite moment from this year was at the Special Olympics unified soccer tournament, when one of my teammates scored the goal that won the tournament. It was a perfect shot, right into the back of the net. He was so excited, and everyone there- our team, the other team, teams on the sideline, volunteers- celebrated with him. I still keep my gold medal with me on my backpack to remember that awesome day.
