February 2023 Employee Spotlight- Macy Manchester

Macy is a Program Administrator at our Momentum Casco Office, but chances are you have seen her wearing many different hats, whether she is acting as a DSP out in the community, Coaching Special Olympics, and most recently getting her MANDT Training Certification in Brewer, Maine!

When we asked about Macy her peers say “Macy always comes to work with a smile on her face, and a positive attitude. As a PA she is always willing to fill in when needed on our schedule. Macy is very organized and doesn’t hesitate to take on any tasks such as Head of Delegation for Special Olympics, planning Nature Treks, and keeping everyone safe here in Casco by being a member of the Safety Team. Macy you are a rock star, and we are so glad to have you part of our team!!”

What motivates you the most?

What motivates me the most are the clients who we support every day.

What’s your favorite past time?

My favorite past time is going ATVing with my family in the summer time, and snowmobiling in the winter.

What would you like to be known for?

I would like to be known for my efforts to always be kind and understanding.

Can you recall the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

I laugh a lot; I’d say I laughed so hard I cried just a week ago about my son. He’s quite the comedian!

One thing you would tell your 13-year-old self.

Be yourself, even if others don’t like that version of you.

What has been your favorite “Momentum Moment?

My favorite Momentum Moment was our first year putting on our Jugtown Challenge and how the clients trained so hard, and were so proud of themselves competing and finishing their leg of the race.
